OPI Halloween Nail Polish

Hey , dolls ! I haven't done a nail polish update in a while , so I've decided to get everyone up to speed !

As some of you may know , OPI has come out with a new nail polish collection called , "OPI Go Goth Nail Collection ."   OPI wants to Go Goth this Halloween with their mini-set of four dark, vampy nail lacquers . Here is what they look like on . Tell me what you guys think ? Yes no ?

Obscurity is a black matte polish. This isn’t a chalky matte, it’s more of a satin matte . You really only need one coat , but this is two coats . It's really up to you .

True Blood Fanatic ?

I'm actually going to take a quick break from fashion to talk to you about one of my top favorite shows right now -True Blood . And  I have a couple of reasons as to why i'm talking about this . The first is that I started reading the True Blood books a few years before it became a television show and i have to be honest , I wasn't impressed . I couldn't even bring myself to finish the complete series and I actually still have an unread book on my dresser that has been there for months . I did however , read enough to notice a big change in the show . I do know that more times than none , a book-to-television-show will change a few things , but I wanted to know why this change occurred . The big change that i'm referring to is in the very first book we are introduced to a character by the name of Bubba . He is a vampire Elvis Presley that is under the care of Bill Compton . Well , in the show Bubba is replaced by a vampire named Jessica Hamby .  She was used to showcase in detail what a newborn vampire is like, cast to star as a love interest for Hoyt and be something of a daughter figure to Bill and Sookie. She seems to be the replacement for Bubba since his character is not allowed due to legal issues with the Presley estate. I have to say , she is so beautiful ! I love this girl and I simply cannot get enough of her ! But I do have a bad feeling that she's going to be killed off and I really hope that doesn't happen ! What do you guys think of the show ? Thoughtful Thursday

Sorry it's been so long , Fabs ! I've just been a tad bit too busy the last couple of days ! New York Fashion Week 2010 is well under way , and I am sitting on the edge of my chair ! I think the fashion styles this year are going to be something totally different from anything that we have ever seen ! Thanks to the lovely Lady Gaga , fashion has become something of a whirlwind lately and people are beginning to take bigger risks . Altazurra is a new designer that you should definitely keep your eye on . His stlye is bold and sleek and very unique . I posted an example of his work above and I do believe this will be in the NYFW ! What are your opinions ? Is this a hit or a miss ? Do you think his bold style will be a winner on the runway ? I think we should definitely keep our eye on him for sure . He's new , fresh , fun and different . I think that's why I like it .  

Another person who I absolutely adore is fashion icon Daphne Guinness ( featured above on the left) . If you are reading my blog and you are interested in fashion , look her up ! 




I am also very excited about Vera Wang's new line of wedding dresses that she so graciously showed us just two days ago at her New York Runway show . She is just my absolute favorite wedding dress designer and I am thrilled she has decided to team up with Kohl's department store to launch her line of every day clothing and jewelry ! You should definitely check that out at your nearest location if you haven't already !

Fall Fashion 2010

Hello , fabs ! I've been scouring the internet all day (in between classes) looking to see what the Fall fashion is going to look like this year and this is what I came across ! Now this is just the beginning , so don't get snooty just yet . While taupes and purples are the top colors for fall, there's nothing wrong with throwing a little army green , yellow and navy blue in there . I personally love green in the fall ! There are many bold and daring trends this fall ...leather , sequin , fur , embellishment . Neutrals  are the new black and right now , purple is in ! Remember to keep it fabulous , but inexpensive at the same time ! Learn to make yourself happy a long with your wallet . I'll keep you posted on what else I come across , dolls !

Fall Is Coming !

Fall is coming and I am terribly excited ! Not just for the leaves to change , the swapping of summer dresses to designer jeans , festive scarves , fashionable long sleeve shirts and comfy jackets , but for the O.P.I nail polish fall collection to come out ! It's the small things in life that make me happy , boys and girls . I've been doing some research and I decided to do something a tad bit riskier this autumn . Maybe change up the pace a little ? Mix and match different nail polishes and record the results . So buckle up and enjoy the experience! 

I love this color ! This , to me , is more of a fall color than the one above this . It's fun and it's fashionable and I love love love it !

Fabulous Friday !

So now that college has started back up I decided to do something a little different this time . Instead of carrying around one of those simple , plain , boring backpacks , I got a Vera Bradley backpack instead . Now I don't know how durable they are , but Vera Bradley seems to make good products so I thought I would give it a try . I absolutely love the new pattern ! It's called Very Berry Paisley and it's not as dark of a pink in person as it appears in the picture . I do love this backpack , but keep in mind that it is a laptop backpack so therefore it isn't as big as a normal backpack . It's big enough for your books and your laptop , but you may have to carry a book or two in your arms if you have a lot of classes in one day . But if you only have  two or three classes then you should be fine ! Also , it is sort of expensive . This backpack runs at about $98.00 . It's a lot of money for a backpack , but I just had to have it ! I would also recommend the other school supplies that they have as well ! 

Fun Fact Friday :

1. I am interested in Greek mythology and want to one day decorate my house based off of it .

2. I am currently obsessed with the color pink and so everything I own right now is that color . 

3 . I have a fascination with ghosts .

4. I believe that a good pair of heels can pull any outfit together .

5. My number one rule is never leave the house without mascara and lipgloss on . You never know who could be watching , boys and girls . 

6. My fashion icon and my hero is Kimora Lee Simmons . Die for her !

7. I'm a really quiet person when you first meet me , but once I get to know you i'll be your best friend ! 

8. I'm an observer .

9.  I am a very old fashioned girl . A true lady  never makes the first move . Make the man work for it , ladies .

10 . I believe that you can accomplish anything you set your mind to . And you can do it in a pair of heels . :)

I was wondering what color heel to wear with a floral print dress so I decided to piece something together . When you wear floral print , it's a good idea to keep everything else neutral . A nude heel is key to this outfit . You want to keep the focus on the dress and not have eyes wandering all over . Have one key point at a time . I chose pearls because it just seems natural that they would go with a floral print dress . I'm not too crazy about the clutch , but it's important to keep it a neutral color and as simple as possible . The fingernail polish just kind of jumped out at me . I saw that it's almost identical to the background of the dress and I thought it sort of tied everything up nicely . If this color doesn't work for you , just remember to use soft pastel colors and it should look fabulous . I hope you like it !
